Get to know digital presenter Carissa Walford from our #BETHATGIRL campaign.
TV Host, Producer, and Journalist Carissa Walford has become one of the country’s most loved television presenters. Reporting on a variety of topics, with a focus on music, fashion and entertainment, she’s worked with some of the biggest names in the biz (and we’ve loved watching it all).
“Holding onto old dreams and beliefs have been a challenge for me as it stops me from progressing into new passions. I grew up having one dream and I am lucky to say it came true. I’m so grateful to be living and breathing it, but it’s been tough letting go of the old and stepping into the new. I struggled with my job in terms of my identity and figuring out who I am outside of the TV personality persona that I have created.”
Her advice for young Australians?
“Get to know who you are inside and out. Travel, make mistakes, try new things and step out of your comfort zone. When you are young you don’t have a real grasp of time, so you can be fearless. Don’t let anyone tell you, you can’t do something.”
For the #BETHATGIRL campaign, each person was asked to choose a word that encapsulates them. Carissa’s word was “outspoken”.
