Get to know TV presenter/DJ/writer Flex Mami from our #BETHATGIRL campaign.
Described as “the ultimate millennial in media”, you probably recognise Flex from her role as an MTV presenter, have read one of her articles in some of Australia’s largest publications, or danced to one of her DJ sets at some of the country’s biggest music events.
Her bold and bright fashion sense is definitely one to aspire to – “you always need someone to lead the way. Like come through, it’s okay on this side – we clash colours, it’s not that big of a deal!”
What does Be That Girl mean to Flex?
“It reminds me that I have a duty to be unapologetically myself in all forms, whatever that may look like today or tomorrow. It feels nice, it just reminds me that I’m doing myself a service”.
Flex lives by the mantra: “Don’t start tasks thinking that someone will come and finish them for you. You are blessed and highly favoured, your biggest barrier is you.”
For the #BETHATGIRL campaign, each person was asked to choose a word that encapsulates them. Flex’s words were “playful” & “blue”.
