How long have you been dancing?

Since I was four, so forever! I dance commercial, jazz and hiphop – but I am trained in all dance.

Hobbies and interests?

I love fashion and styling. I also love travelling which I get to do a lot with work – for me and my own sanity I love to get out of the country. I just got back from LA over the weekend and I was in Bali 2 weeks ago. I love to travel as much as possible to get new content and see the world.

What challenges have you faced in your dancing career so far / life in general?

I think a dancing career you feel like you have to fit a mould. Once you forget to fit the mould you just become YOU. I stopped worrying about trying to fit a brief and just worked on being me.

How did you get into dancing?

I was born into it! My family put me into dancing when I was a little toddler and I have just never stopped!

I love the stage and the spotlight, I dance all different styles but my fave is commercial dancing.

Best place you’ve danced?

Oh my god, in Korea! It was such a cool experience, Korea is so fun and the energy of the crowd was incredible – they had so much energy which really impacted my performance.

What challenges have you faced in your dancing career so far / life in general?

I think what everyone else goes through, which is those struggles within. Thinking that I am not good enough, that little demon inside you – I just have to remind myself to keep my head strong and remember that you have good days and bad days, but just keep fighting.

What mantras / life quotes do you live by?

Everything happens for a reason and my mum always says take one step at a time.

As a creative I always want to do everything at once, I have so many ideas and I am always energised, but sometimes I need to slow down and focus on one thing at a time.

What challenges have you faced in your dancing career so far / life in general?

Like any industry, dance always has setbacks, knockdowns sometimes more often than when you get a job or reach your goal.

I had a big setback when I had an injury to voice after being cast in a major musical – a week before opening my contract was dropped. It was so hard to pick myself back up, but I had to do it and keep positive. Setbacks happen but you just need to remind yourself why you do it and stay strong.

What are you passionate about?

I am so passionate about creating your own work. If something is not happening for you, go with your friends & do a photoshoot, create a video.

Whatever it is, put it out there and something good will come from it. Put the hard work in and create it yourself.

Hobbies and interests?

I love socialising and exercising. I love going for workouts and doing a great cardio session. I love to dance and I also teach young girls jazz dancing.

You wouldn’t be the woman you are today without….

My family – my parents have been so supportive of my dancing. I wouldn’t be dancing if it wasn’t for them, I live in Wollongong and they helped me study in Sydney so I can dance.

A strong support network is everything!

One piece of advice for woman around Australia?

Don’t forget the important things in life because everyone has Instagram and social media, but we forget what is most important. Social media makes everything look perfect!

Hobbies and interests?

Can I say coffee is my interest? No in all seriousness, I am really passionate about animals. I have the most beautiful dog who is my baby, who has made me even more obsessed with animal rights and I just can’t wait to work with animals eventually.

Are you currently doing any work with animals?

I am working at some animal shelters and one day when I get more time I want to do a zoology course and end up working with wildlife animals and dogs, especially rescue dogs as I believe they need the most attention.

Plastic is destroying our earth and hurting our animals! We need to do more. Animals need voices, and that’s why I am so passionate about them.

What mantras / life quotes do you live by?

At the moment I am living by ‘no dream is too big’ and reminding myself everyday not to give up on my wildest dream even if they seem crazy. Keep pushing ahead.
