“Hair in every culture is so personally defining. Hair shouldn’t be a burden for people, I want to educate people and make the process fun.”

Having grown up in her mother’s hair braiding salon (the first of it’s kind in Perth!), Maeva Heim has always grown up with an interest in hair. It wasn’t until a toxic hair chemical relaxer exploded in her bag while she was traveling, a light bulb went off! Maeva took this as a sign to embrace her natural curls, and create products that weren’t readily accessible in the Australian market. And with that – BREAD Beauty Supply was born!

When we asked Maeva what she wanted to be in 2020, her answer was BE READY.

We sat down with Maeva to talk about her hair journey, her plans for BREAD and her goals for 2020.
